If you’re not sure are you still/already in Chinatown or Little India,
check the menu in any nearby restaurant – it’ll answer your doubts. ๐
Singapore – Chinatown
While being in Singapore and exploring all modern areas, don’t forget to visit two special districts – Chinatown and Little India.
Singapore – Districts
Singapore has 28 districts.
You don’t have to visit all of them, but check different places in Singapore to get an idea of its diversity.
Singapore – Contrasts
Singapore is a very unique country,
it’s very modern, clean and safe,
but you’ll also find here many different districts that don’t really fit to this description.
“A bit of everything”, as I mentioned before. ๐
Singapore – Flag
The flag of Singapore consists of red (for equality) and white (for purity) horizontal stripes (my picture may be confusing).
In the upper-left side a white crescent moon and five small stars are placed. Stars represent democracy, peace, progress, justice and equality.
Singapore – Is it Worth Visiting?
I think, it’s worth to visit Singapore;
at least to see how it really is.
I wasn’t very impressed by Singapore,
but it all depends how and with whom you’re traveling.
Singapore – Religion
Singapore is also quite mixed when we talk about religion.
You’ll meet here people who practise Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Taoism, folk religion etc.; plus many non-religious people.
And, I’ve never heard about any “religious problems” in Singaporeโฆ Have you?
Singapore – Official Languages
Singapore has four official languages: English, Malay, Mandarin Chinese, and Tamil.
So as a tourist, you can easily communicate using English.
Singapore – International Country
Singapore is a very mixed, “international” country,
where you can find “a bit of everything”.
Singapore – Population
Singapore is a country with one of the highest population density;
and it’s growing and growing.
Singapore – Area
Singapore is a small country, with a total area of about 700 square km.
Singapore – City or Country
Singapore, officially the Republic of Singapore, is a country,
with the capital called Singapore.
Singapore – Passion Made Possible
The official tourism website of Singapore
promotes a slogan “Passion Made Possible“,
what means that in Singapore with your passion, you can create amazing things.
Singapore – Dream Country?
Singapore for many, especially for Asian, is like a dream country;
a place where they would like to live.
Why? Because it’s so modern and seems to be a paradise.
I’m much more impressed by nature than by architecture,
but can understand that fascination by Singapore or Dubai.
Singapore – Introduction
Welcome to Singapore.
Tha small Asian country that is a dream for many, do you know why?
I’ll talk about it later. ๐
Northern Cyprus – Final impression
Today, I’m showing you my last picture from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
I hope, you liked some of the pictures. ๐
I don’t want to have politics on the travel blog, so I try to avoid this topic as much as possible, just giving you basic information. I decided to show you Cyprus and North Cyprus separately, because both parts are kind of treated like different “countries”; and tourists face different restrictions while visiting them.
Tomorrow, we’ll travel south. ๐
Stay tuned!
Northern Cyprus – Currency
The new Turkish lira is the official currency of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
I was sometimes using euro, but the rest was always given in Turkish lira.
Northern Cyprus – Mountains
I really like mountains in the North Cyprus;
you can find some paths for hiking and lovely located castels. ๐
Northern Cyprus – Rent a Car
For visiting Cyprus, it’s very convenient to rent a car.
There are some restrictions, because of the insurance, and it’s not always possible to visit North Cyprus by car from the South. When you rent a car in the North, then you are not allowed to go South.
However, rules may change, so check everything shortly before traveling.
Northern Cyprus – Nicosia
Nicosia (Turkish: Lefkosa, Greek: Lefkosia) is the divided capital of Cyprus.
