Have you heard about the Arecibo Observatory before?
It’s quite a famous telescope, or maybe even the best known ground-based telescope.
And you can have a walk “under the huge dish” of the Arecibo Telescope. 🙂
The large dish of the Arecibo Radio telescope is 305 m in diameter and covers an area of about twenty acres. And it looks like that. 🙂
A bit dirty, with some plants – it’s not a big problem.
I’m an astronomer, so the Arecibo Observatory was my most important destination on Puerto Rico.
Puerto Rico has a tropical climate.
San Juan, the walled city, is the capital of Puerto Rico.
Puerto Rico has two official languages, Spanish and English.
The currency used in Puerto Rico is the U.S. dollar.
Puerto Rico is so-called an unincorporated territory of the United States.
Welcome to Puerto Rico 🙂
This month on my blog is going to all about this island.
