I don’t really recall to see any graffiti in Sardinia, but there were many paintings, posters or pictures on the houses, and it looked very nice and unique.
Month: November 2018
Sardinia – Mountains & Train
Sardinia also has nice mountains.
You can partly enjoy them by train. There are old, historic Sardinian railways going through the mountains and via many lovely places.
Sardinia – Languages
Sardinia has two official languages: Italian and Sardinian;
but there are more local languages in use.
I don’t speak any Italian and rather didn’t have any problems in communication, at the end, it’s quite a touristic island.
Sardinia – Relaxing in Cagliari
Cagliari is situated in the south of Sardinia by the Mediterranean Sea. So, Cagliari is also a good place for relaxing and enjoying beaches.
Sardinia – Visiting Cagliari
Cagliari is a city different from all others in Sardinia.
Cagliari is worth visiting from many reasons, e.g., history, art, culture, and even nature.
Sardinia – Capital
Cagliari is the capital of Sardinia and its largest city.
Sardinia – Big Island
Sardinia is a relatively large island; it’s the second-largest island in the Mediterranean Sea (after Sicily).
Sardinia – Flag
The flag of Sardinia is known as “the flag of the Four Moors”.
It’s interesting, that Corsica has the same flag.
Sardinia – Autonomous Region of Sardinia
Sardinia is a region of Italy.
However, it’s also granted some autonomy and has its own rules; and officially it’s called Autonomous Region of Sardinia.
Sardinia is also quiet a big island.
Because of all these reasons, I decided to list it separately and have a month on my blog dedicated to Sardinia.
Sardinia – Introduction
After Greece, we’re staying in Europe, in its warmer part.
I hope it’s a good idea for cold and grey European November.
Welcome to the island of Sardinia; expect lots of sun. 🙂
