What’s the capital of the Commonwealth of Australia?
I think, Australia, is one of these countries, that we can easily make a mistake while answering above question.
So, Canberra is the capital, but Sydney is the largest city in Australia.

For many years I was hesitating between Sydney and Melbourne whenever I was asked this question 🙂

🙂 very good direction, but to solve this dispute came Canberra.
There was actually a dispute between Sydney and Melbourne as to which city should be the capital. The only way to solve this was to build a city roughly half way between each city; thus Canberra came into existence.
