Finland is considered as a “flat” country.
Yeah, there are no Himalayas, but its highest point (the Halti) has 1’324 metres above sea level. Well, I know countries much flatter. 😉

Did you hear anyone saying that Finland is a boring country?
I did!
And I don’t agree!

I enjoyed Suomenlinna a lot, that’s why I’m showing you so many pictures of it, this month. 🙂

On Suomenlinna, I’ve seen many lovely windows with cute decorations.

Suomenlinna is built on eight islands.

Suomenlinna is located about 4 km from the city center of Helsinki.

Suomenlinna is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Suomenlinna (Sveaborg in Swedish) is an inhabited sea fortress.

Suomenlinna is one of the very uniqe attractions of Helsinki.

Typical of Saint Petersburg, also occurs in Helsinki. 🙂

I guess, almost each person who visits Finland, spends “a moment” in Helsinki.
And it’s a very godo idea, because the city has variety of attractions.
To be fair, I’ve seen many much more beautiful capitals,
but Helsinki can be also charming!

Helsinki is a major and best known city in Finland.

Finland doesn’t belong to Scandinavia,
however sometimes is treated like a Scandinavian country.

Finland is a Nordic Country.
