You could easily spend a whole day in the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, also called as the Egyptian Museum. Simply enjoy an amazing ancient world! ๐

Egypt – Museum of Egyptian Antiquities
As I said, I’m fascinated by ancient world and may a bit biased here,
but for me, one of the best places in Cairo is the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities with a rich collection of items from ancient Egypt.
Egypt – Cairo
Cairo is a large city with many diverse areas.
Depending which part of the city you visit, you may think Cairo is poor, crowded, old, modern, polluted, etc. Even some of the above adjectives are not really positive; Cairo is worth visiting!
Egypt – Capital
Cairo is the capital of Egypt.
Egypt – or Tourism
To continue from yesterday, tourism in Egypt is not only visiting ancient sites, but also relaxing on beach, swimming, diving, etc.
And both are fine, Egypt is perfect for both kinds of tourists.
Egypt – Tourism
Tourism is a very important sector in Egypt.
I’ve been always fascinated by ancient world, so visiting ruins in Egypt, Greece, Rome, and many other countries, is a wonderful experience for me.
Egypt – Nile River
Nile is the longest river in Africa, for many, it’s also the longest river in the world.
You can find Nile River in 11 countries: Burundi, Congo, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.
Egypt – Arab Republic of Egypt
Do you know, that Egypt is officially called the Arab Republic of Egypt?
Somehow, in my mind, Egypt is not really an Arabic country, but Pharaoh. ๐
Egypt – Introduction
Welcome to Egypt!
This September is going to be all about Egypt, hopefully you’ll like it.
England – Final Impression
Goodbye England!
Today, I’m showing you the last picture of this month.
How did you like my England series?
Maybe one day England with new places will be again on my blog; there is still lots to see.
For sure, I’ll show you in future London and other countries/territories of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
And tomorrow, we’re starting a trip in a warm, tourist destination. ๐
Stay tuned!
England – Streets
In the UK (not only in England), I like streets with characteristic (or the same), old buildings.
I know, “it’s nothing special”, but I still think they look nice.
England – Angles
Is England country of Angles?
maybeโฆ
The name “England” comes from the old English name “Englaland”, that means “land of the Angles”. ๐
England – Winchester Round Table
Winchester Castle or the Great Hall is a must-see place in Winchester.
You’ll find there so-called Winchester Round Table or a medieval replica of King Arthurโs Round Table (seen in the picture).
The oak table is form the 13th century, but its paintwork was done later.
The tabletop measures 5.5 meters in diameter and weighs 1200 kg.
England – Winchester
Winchester is apparently the best place for living in the United Kingdom.
It’s also a nice place for tourists.
England – Salisbury Cathedral
Salisbury Cathedral was built in the 12th century.
I’m not sure, is Salisbury a very well known tourist destination.
I think, there are many cathedral cities/towns in England or in the United Kingdom, and all of them are nice and worth visiting! ๐
England – Salisbury
Salisbury is an another nice, English cathedral city.
England – Windsor
Windsor is an English town with famous Windsor Castle, one of the official residences of the British Royal Family.
England – Cathedrals are not always Cathedrals
In the United Kingdom there are lots of old cathedrals/churches.
There are so many of them, so they are often not churches any more, but e.g. it’s a shop, internet cafe, etc.
England – Canterbury
Canterbury is an English city with a beautiful cathedral.
Canterbury is popular historic tourist destination and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
I liked it a lot.
England – Manchester & Liverpool
A long time ago, my friend was doing his PhD in Manchester, so I visited him and had a chance to explore the city and its vicinity.
Mostly, I remember 2 things.
First, there is an amazing library, the John Rylands Library, in Manchester.
It’s a Neo-Gothic building that belongs to the University of Manchester.
You can learn more about this beautiful place from its own website.
Whenever I hear that someone was in Manchester I ask the question: “Have you seen this wonderful library?”.
Second thing is “The Beatles”, famous English rock band.
I was flying to Liverpool Airport, that’s very close to Manchester.
The airport is actually called “Liverpool John Lennon Airport”, what makes sense, because The Beatles were formed in Liverpool. So if you go to Manchester, visit also Liverpool and when you go to Liverpool, don’t miss Manchester. ๐
