Punakaiki Pancake Rocks and Blowholes, in South Island, are very famous touristic attraction. These limestone formations are really unique and look exactly as its name says, like a huge pile of pancakes. There is one path, so you can spend a while walking around. And some rocks look not only like pancakes but like animals… made of pancakes. 😀
This place is very interesting. Put it on your list while planning your New Zealand adventure. 🙂

Dzisiejsze zdjęcie przedstawia kolejną, znaną nowozelandzką atrakcję turystyczną. To tzw.
Fascinating structures, and something I’d love to see. ?
They are very special and one of the must-see in New Zealand 🙂
Very special pancake rocks
Indeed, they are 🙂
Thank you!
Between pancakes and nuggets, this is quite an appetizing landscape! Wonderful!
Indeed, it’s beautiful landscape! 🙂
Thank you!
A bit far for me, but glad I watched the rock itself. 🙂
They are very unique 🙂
Great shot – these were one of my favourite spots when we visited. But NZ has almost only favourite spots!
Thank you! I’m glad to hear it! 😀
Hi Maja,
it’s a funny thing, because I was often at the same time at the same places like you in NZ. Perhaps we have even seen us? I stayed at the Nikau Retreat (Punakaiki) from 23.12 – 26.12.2016 and visited the pancake rocks also. 🙂
So one week in NZ, that’s really a short time for the trip. My roadtrip was five weeks and I think too short for this beautiful landscapes!! I love penguins too. I’ve met one of the yellow eyed penguin in the Curio Bay. So cute!
Enjoy your life! You are doing it right!
Simone
Thank you, Simone!
I’m very happy you like my pictures!
We visited New Zealand a few years ago, I just have these monthly series on my blog. And NZ is one of my favorite places… 🙂
