The Arecibo Observatory appeared in a few movies, so it has its own connection to the stars, movie stars. 😉
I’m not the best person to talk about movies, but some of the movies where you can see the Arecibo Radio Telescope are e.g.,: Contact, GoldenEye (James Bond), or The X-Files.
Have you heard about the Arecibo Observatory before?
It’s quite a famous telescope, or maybe even the best known ground-based telescope.
The large dish of the Arecibo Radio telescope is 305 m in diameter and covers an area of about twenty acres. And it looks like that. 🙂
A bit dirty, with some plants – it’s not a big problem.
