After Greece, we’re staying in Europe, in its warmer part.

Today, the last picture of this month and the last image from Greece.
One day, I’ll come back to Greece on my blog, and present some of the islands in more details.

I hope you liked my travel impressions in October.
I like Greece and I’m sure I’ll visit this country again.
Greece is full of beautiful places, together with delicious cuisine and nice weather, it’s a great destination! 🙂

I was in Greece a few times; from March until May and from September until December; and from my point of view, spring and autumn are the best seasons for visiting Greece.
I prefer to avoid the peak seasons, the most crowded and hottest months.
Of course, you can visit Greece any time of a year, but I especially recommend spring and autumn. 🙂

Kos offers everything what you may expect from a Greek island, i.e., clear water, nice beaches, nice weather, great food, cats, and wonderful ruins.

In Kos, I met many many cats.
“Cat” in Polish is “kot”, so I think the island of Kos in Polish should be called “Kot”. 😀

Kos is a Greek island, located nearby Turkey.
I didn’t know that this island exists, until I went there for a conference.
As you see in today’s picture, it’s a very pleasant place for a conference. 🙂

One of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World is connected with Rhodes – it’s the Colossus of Rhodes.
These days you cannot see anything from the Colossus of Rhodes, and it’s even not completely clear where exactly the statue was standing.

Rhodes is a famous Greek island with great ruins, lovely scenery and nice coast.

If someone asks me what’s the most beautiful Greek island – I say “Santorini”!
Maybe, I should visit more Greek islands to change my mind, but for the moment, it’s my number 1. 🙂

Beautiful island of Santorini is a must-see place, especially while being in Crete.
Go to Santorini, enjoy the island full of donkeys and get the impression what’s the result of the huge volcanic eruption.

Crete is a beautiful place to see the remnants of the ancient civilizations, e.g., even as old as 11000 years (https://greece.greekreporter.com/) – I probably shouldn’t call it as ancient neither civilization, anyway, the age is impressive!

Crete is the largest island in Greece.
It’s a very nice and diverse island; definitely worth visiting!

Greece is an island country; it consist of over thousand islands (or up to 6000 islands – depending on the “island” definition).

I love to visit all ancient archeological sites in Greece, however, Greece is so popular among tourists mostly because of nice beaches and seas.

Mount Olympus is the highest and most famous mountain in Greece.
Today’s picture shows nice mountains nearby Mount Olympus.

The Corinth Canal (6.3 m long) is not an ancient attraction but a very unique and interesting site in Greece.

The olive branch is a symbol of peace; it comes from ancient Greece.
Branches of the olive tree are placed e.g., on the flag of the United Nations.

Mycenae is an archeological site from about 1300 BC.
It’s quite different from typical ancient Greek ruins; still worth visiting.

Tomb of Agamemnon, or rather the Treasury of Atreus is a large tomb.
At school, I had to learn a poem about the Tomb of Agamemnon, so it more special for me to visit this interesting site.

Archaeological Site of Delphi is another impressive ancient location that cannot be missed while being in Greece!
The ruins, nearby mountains, everything – just perfect!
