I’m sure everyone knows the popular image of Che Guevara, even without knowing his name. I think many people may think it’s Fidel Castro. Do you agree with me?
In Cuba, you’ll find thousands different souvenirs with the image of Che, but when you buy something, be sure you know who he was. 😉

Na Kubie znajdziecie ogromną ilość różnorodnych pamiątek z podobizną Che, ale gdy coś kupicie bądźcie pewni, że wiecie kto to był. 😉
I have enjoyed your photos of the island nation, however, the political situation there is unfortunate for the people, they have been suppressed for decades. Hope they will get free some day.

Wiem, wiem kto to był… taki terrorysta, który czemuś do historii przeszedł jako romantyczny bohater rewolucji. A teraz stał się ikoną pop kultury i różne gwiazdy i gwiazdeczki występują w koszulkach z jego podobizną. Ciekawam, czy kiedyś ktoś będzie występował w koszulkach z podobizną Fidela C.

I would think most people know who Che Guevara is. At least the older generations – who probably may once have had a poster on their wall once. You seem to be enjoying Cuba!
that’s true, but I’m not sure about younger who often wear T-shirts with his face on it…

I went there a few times 20 years ago. There was not Che at that moment. Happy to see that he is back.

Whether you respect him or not, he certainly achieved a lot in his 39 years and made his mark. I was always fascinated by his story.
