Just outside Garaju (Ponta do Garajau) you can find some attractions, e.g., this spectacular road from the picture. In Madeira, you’ll find these crazy, narrow roads more often. They’re definitely for good drivers only!

Fantastic photo but narrow roads makes me afraid .I had it in the alpes to
I have similar feelings 😉
Una strada per chi non ha problemi di stomaco 🙂
Exactly! 😉
Awesome click, but the road is so steep. It makes the head spin.
yeah, I know this feeling… 😉
Beautiful pov and framing.
Thank you! 🙂
I do love these roads! The only thing that annoys me is that they slow down the trip a lot. This one reminds me a lot of the road that leads from Fira to the port of Santorini in Greece, because of the sea.
Yeah, these kind of roads annoy my stomach… 😉
Since you mentioned Greece, now I remember mountain roads toward Delphi (if I’m correct…), my stomach wasn’t happy… 😉
Yes, in Greece these roads are really common. And the difficulty of the road is many times proportional to the beauty you will meet :-). I think it is unavoidable for countries with many hills and mountains.
Beauty goes with pain 😉
No pain, no gain 😀
Madeira: mio grande amore
exellent!
Thank you! 🙂
The only wish I have looking at this road is to get a bike to slide down in few minutes 🙂
So I know, a few more people like you 😉
Cudna fotka, do takiego “garażu” Garaju zjechać to trza polskiej ułańskiej fantazji…
pozdrowienia
😀
nawet doświadczeni kierowcy mogą mieć problemy 🙂
oj tak 🙂
What a spectacular view and scary road! This reminds me of the steep road that leads towards the mountainous province in Baguio City, Philippines. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Now, when you mentioned it, I also remember these roads in Philippines 🙂
“They’re definitely for good drivers only!” Looking at the picture of the road, I think the driver has to be super duper good on the road, :).
hihi, indeed 😀
Hairpin bends are not for me, but they provide a stunning view for your picture. ?
I also don’t like them so much… well, my stomach 😉
You didn’t DRIVE on that road, did you?
😀
no, my husband did 😉
Pamiętam jak walczyliśmy z takimi wąskimi uliczkami w jednym z miasteczek. Nie dośc że stromo to jeszcze wąsko. W końcu, kiedy sytuacja stała się naprawdę krytyczna, ruszyłam patrolem pieszym przodem. ;)))
ciarki przechodzą jak wspominam nasze trasy 😉
Going this route is experiencing great excitement. Regards.
oh, yes; also for a stomach 😉
That is quite a road!
indeed, it is 🙂
Have a great weekend, Graham!
How many curves that road !!!!
Somewhat resembles the Serra do Rio Rastro here in Brazil !!!!Hehehe….
A meow of Bilbo
Ah, thanks, I have to check it!
The serpentine narrow roads…they give a great feeling of adventure and thrill… 🙂
🙂 Thank you! 🙂
Those roads are more like Formula 1!
hihi 😀
Thanks for visiting!
