Aphrodisias is another ancient site in Turkey and maybe it’s even my favorite one. 🙂 It’s a bit far from other attractions, and it’s not really famous, neither crowded. But it’s one of the most impressive sites! Even in Wikipedia you find information that “As an archaeological site, it contains some of the most impressive Roman ruins in Turkey, and has perhaps offers a greater value than Ephesus.” And I totally agree! We’re really surprised how big Aphrodisias is and how many buildings, columns are still so well preserved! I can just highly recommend you to go there when you’re in Turkey! And enjoy ancient world! 🙂

Afrodyzja to kolejne starożytne miasto znajdujące się na terenie Turcji. I jest to chyba moje ulubione! 🙂 Jest dosyć oddalone od innych atrakcji, i również mam wrażenie, że nie jest to zbyt znane miejsce. Jednak Afrodyzja jest wspaniała! Nawet wikipedia (przynajmniej ta angielskojęzyczna) zachwala piękno Afrodyzji, nawet zaznaczając, że tutejsze ruiny są wspanialsze niż te z Efezu! Całkowicie się w tym zgadzam! Byliśmy naprawdę zaskoczeni jak wiele budynków w Afrodyzji przetrwało i zachowało się w “bardzo dobrym stanie” (oczywiście są uszkodzone, ale jest tam zdecydowanie więcej niż 2-3 kolumny). Pozostaje mi tylko Was bardzo zachęcić do odwiedzenia Afrodyzji. 🙂

Ciekawe, że najwięcej pozostałości starożytnej architektury zachowało się poza Grecją i Włochami.
hmm, Grecja jest pełna ruin, a ta część Turcji jeszcze “niedawno” temu należała do Grecji…
A czy wiesz może, czy afrodyzjaki mają coś wspólnego z tym miejscem? ;))
No właśnie, też się nad tym zastanawiałam.
to wszystko może być powiązane , ale chyba głównie za sprawą Afrodyty… (choć nie zdziwiłabym się gdyby wiosną kwitły tam cudnie pachnące kwiaty 🙂 )
hmm, myślę że to raczej w obu przypadkach nawiązanie do Afrodyty, ale głowy nie dam!

Even though this is a “ruin”, it’s still beautiful.
Judging by all these photos, it looks like you had amazing weather when you were there.
Indeed, the weather was really perfect for sightseeing, even it was December, was sunny most of the time. 🙂 and without crowds – just great!
