Faroe Islands consist of 18 islands in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean, northwest of Scotland and halfway between Iceland and Norway. Faroe Islands are an autonomous country within the Kingdom of Denmark. They have their own language and culture.
Faroe Islands are not part of the European Union (even Danish people living in the Faroes are not citizens of the European Union), nor the Schengen free movement agreement.
It’s said there are about 70,000 sheep in the islands (and 50,000 people). Do you remember my posts from yesterday? The name “the islands of sheep” fits perfectly, doesn’t it?

A new country in your adventure!
🙂
So remote – I’d love to visit. ❤️
it’s a lovely place! 🙂
I think it would be a quiet but oh so interesting destination. Is it really windy there?
it’s very windy!!!!!!!!! – or even more 😉
70.000 sheep on the islands is a lot, this one is beautiful in the picture.
Thank you! 🙂
I thought that this was your topic of sheep, well photographed.
Thank you! 🙂
A bit like New Zealand — more sheep than people
that’s true, however they have more and more cows in New Zealand…
I really like when the grass is growing so close to the sea…
…for me it is an unusual sight – though I’ve seen it in Sweden once.
Great photo!
Thank you! 🙂
