Samosir is a big island, so it’s not recommended to walk across it. If you spend a few days on an island you can rent a bicycle, that’s very convenient.
Short walk on Samosir is also very nice. I met friendly people and was enjoying landscapes, animals or plants (e.g., mimosa). At the end it’s a totally different part of Indonesia. Pace of life here has nothing in common with a craziness of Jakarta. 😉

Samosir jest dość dużą wyspą, wiec próba przejścia jej pieszo może nie być najlepszym pomysłem. Jeżeli zamierzacie spędzić tam kilka dni, polecam wypożyczyć rower, będzie zdecydowanie wygodniej.
Spacery po wyspie ogólnie bardzo polecam. Można wtedy poznać sympatycznych mieszkańców, podziwiać widoki, czy po prostu obserwować różne zwierzaki i rośliny (bardzo mi się spodobała mimoza). Spokojne życie na wyspie Samosir zdecydowanie różni się od zatłoczonej Dżakarty. 😉
