I visited one “island” at the Salar de Uyuni, it’s Isla Incahuasi (Isla Inkawasi or Isla de los Pescados). I was impressed by the beauty of this small island. It’s full of cacti, and some of them may be as old as 1000 years (the age is based on the assumption that they grow at a rate of 1 cm per year)!

Miałam okazję odwiedzić jedną “wyspę” na Salar de Uyuni zwaną Isla Incahuasi (Isla Inkawasi lub Isla de los Pescados). Zdecydowanie byłam pod wrażeniem jej piękna! Jest pokryta kaktusami, pomiędzy którymi buszują lamy. 🙂 Wiek kaktusów szacuje się na 1000 lat, zakładając że rosną 1 cm na rok!
How tall were the tallest in this photo? I couldn’t get a perspective. That is a surreal landscape. Interesting photo. Was the whole island like this?
