Titicaca (or Titiqaqa in Quechua) is a deep, large lake in the Andes on the border of Peru and Bolivia.
It’s actually the largest lake in South America.
If you’d like to visited the lake from Bolivian side, go to Copacabana, that’s the town on the shore of Lake Titicaca. You can visit the old town and then take a boat to Isla del Sol, the sacred Inca island.
You can also take a trip on a traditional reed boat (like shown in the picture).

Titicaca (albo Titiqaqa w języku Quechua) to głębokie, ogromne jezioro położone w Andach, na granicy Peru i Boliwii. Jest to także największe jezioro w Ameryce Południowej.
Jeżeli chcecie zobaczyć jezioro w Boliwii, polecam wybrać się do miasteczka Copacabana, które leży nad brzegiem Jeziora Titicaca. Następnie można popłynąć na święta inkaską wyspę Isla del Sol.
Można też popłynąć taką trzcinową łódką, jak widoczna na dzisiejszym zdjęciu. 🙂

Yes, I do remember it… it was an amazing experience arriving there with the train from Cuzco! Is a lovely lake, quite different from the one I see from my window… And you need to take few days to really enjoy the surroundings.
