Indonesia – Visiting Samosir (Lake Toba)

Samosir Island
Samosir Island

Samosir is a big island, so it’s not recommended to walk across it. If you spend a few days on an island you can rent a bicycle, that’s very convenient.

Short walk on Samosir is also very nice. I met friendly people and was enjoying landscapes, animals or plants (e.g., mimosa). At the end it’s a totally different part of Indonesia. Pace of life here has nothing in common with a craziness of Jakarta. 馃槈

Samosir jest do艣膰 du偶膮 wysp膮, wiec pr贸ba przej艣cia jej pieszo mo偶e nie by膰 najlepszym pomys艂em. Je偶eli zamierzacie sp臋dzi膰 tam kilka dni, polecam wypo偶yczy膰 rower, b臋dzie zdecydowanie wygodniej.

Spokojne 偶ycie na wyspie Samosir zdecydowanie r贸偶ni si臋 od zat艂oczonej D偶akarty. 馃槈

  1. Maybe it would be a good idea to come here after to relax having visited Jawa or other island? Thank you for your always very interesting topics

  2. Oh, that would be a place for me. “Nothing happens, boredom” – as one actor said in one Polish cult film 馃槈 Wandering around, watching and taking photos – I love it!
