There are also lots of penguins in Patagonia. The most popular are Magellanic penguins, like the one here in the water. In some places are also King and Gentoo penguins. They have their own colonies here in Argentina while others are here just for a “visit” from Antarctica. Once, I saw a leopard seal (known also as sea leopard) from Antarctica. W Patagonii łatwo spotkać pingwiny. Najpopularniejszy tutaj jest pingwin magellański, jak ten na zdjęciu. Inne pingwiny, jak królewski i białobrewy też zamieszkują Patagonię, mają tu swoje kolonie albo “samotnie” dopłynęły z Antarktydy. Któregoś dnia, widziałam nawet lamparta morskiego, który zamieszkuje okolice Antarktydy. Jest to drapieżny ssak, z charakterystycznym uśmiechem. Widziałam go jak wylegiwał się na plaży i obserwował swój potencjalny posiłek, pingwiny…

I’m fascinated by Patagonia. It’s been on my list of places to visit for a while now. The penguins are a big draw, of course, but I’d love to have the chance to see a leopard seal. Argentina as a whole sounds like a really interesting country. 🙂
With leopard seals it’s a luck, because they don’t really live there, but Patagonia in general is amazing. Later, this month, I’ll show a few more pictures from Patagonia 🙂
