Xi’an Terracotta Warriors Museum was also my dream destination in China.
And I was really impressed by this!
The Terracotta Army are amazing sculptures!
Month: March 2020
China – Shaolin Temple
Shaolin Temple or Shaolin Monastery is an old UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can learn about the Shaolin school of Buddhism.
China – Yungang Grottoes
The Yungang Grottoes or Wuzhoushan Grottoes is another attraction nearby Datong City.
These Buddhist temple grottoes are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
China – Hanging Monastery
The Hanging Monastery or Hanging Temple is a temple built on the cliff, next to Datong City.
It’s a unique and spectacular site!
China – Datong
Datong is a city relatively nearby Beijing.
You can find there a Nine-Dragon Wall (Nine-Dragon Screen). It’s kind of wall with nine Chinese dragons; the wall can be found also in Beijing and even in other countries.
China – Ming Tombs
While visiting the Great Wall, don’t miss the Ming Tombs – the burial site of emperors of the Ming Dynasty.
China – Cuisine
I hope nobody will be upset by this, but that’s a well known joke about Chinese cuisine…
It says that a table is the only thing with 4 legs that Chinese don’t eat.
Well, there are also other countries where people eat many “strange things”.
Anyway, for me, more interesting were some flavours…
The girl in the picture is eating ice cream that tastes like green pea,
and there are even green peas inside…
In China, I bought, by accident (!), green peas and kidney beans ice creams;
they both had beans inside;
I was really disappointed by my mistake…
China – Great Wall
The Great Wall is really great but it cannot be seen from the moon.
China – The Great Wall of China
The Great Wall of China was one of my dream destination and absolutely must-see in China.
Was it worth it?
-YES!
I’ve visited a few different sites with the Great Wall of China, in summer and winter.
Some of them were very crowded, others quite empty;
all amazing and beautiful. 🙂
China – Capital
Beijing (also known as Peking) is the capital of the People’s Republic of China.
Is it obvious?
-No. Still, many people think it’s Shanghai.
China – Introduction
Welcome to China.
Based on the current situation, it’s not the best choice for this month, but let’s try.
I’ll show you pictures from my past trips to China.
I don’t recommend to travel to China now, but at some point, everything should get better and then you come back to my travel inspirations. 🙂
