York has many tourist attractions, but it’s the most famous for the York Cathedral, that’s actually called York Minster, i.e., the Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of Saint Peter.
If you have a chance, definitely go to York in England.

I’m guessing, that New York City in the USA is more known that York in the UK; but it’s good to be aware that New York got its name in honor of the Duke of York, later King James II of England.
