And today, I’m showing you the last picture from my trip to Laos.
It’s a nice country, interesting, however quite specific.
Month: May 2019
Laos – Local Taxi
In Asia, there are often different ways of local transportation,
choose what you like the most. 😉
Laos – Cats
I’ve seen many cats in Laos,
some of them with cut tails,
some of wearing clothes,
and some of them “just normal cats”.
Laos – Lao Cuisine
What’s the most typical Laotian food?
-Well, it’s rather not what’s presented on today’s picture,
however, you can buy it on the farmers market. 😉
It’s possible to list a few dishes, but I’d just say:
rice, noodles, meat, vegetables, herbs and spices. 🙂
Laos – Tat Kuang Si Bear Rescue Center
Nearby Luang Prabang, you can find the Tat Kuang Si Bear Rescue Centre, with a number of bears, 3 Bear Houses and a Wildlife Hospital.
Laos – Gender Equality
This is post has rather nothing to do with gender equality,
or maybe a little, little, little bit. 😉
Look at this traffic sign with a women, isn’t it nice?
Laos – Whatever you need…
I’m sorry for today’s picture!
But, I want to show you not only the beauty of a given country, but also … less pleasant things for eyes…
This is probably “nothing bad”; I’ve also seen people selling in Laos dead bats, and it has to be illegal, because they’re hiding them!
Laos – Farmers Market
Farmers markets are popular in many places around the world,
however only in Asia, I have the impression there are lots of “strange” green vegetables. 😉 Well, I mean by this, that I simply have no idea how they are called…
Laos – Night Markets and Souvenirs
Night Markets are very common in Asia.
You can find there delicious food and souvenirs;
of course, you don’t have to buy there anything and just enjoy the place. 🙂
Laos – The Best of Luang Prabang
I like nature, so for me the lovely place nearby Luang Prabang are parks with waterfalls, i.e., Kuang Si Falls, Tat Sae Waterfalls, etc.
I can highly recommend you to visit them! 🙂
Laos – Luang Prabang
Luang Prabang and its vicinity is an area in Laos that you should really visit!
The ancient town of Luang Prabang is a UNESCO World Heritage Site;
it’s a tourist place, but also quite real, at least that was my impression a few years ago.
You can also enjoy Mekong River and nearby mountains.
Laos – Sad Issue About Golden Triangle
I’m showing you again a sad picture from Golden Triangle in Laos.
More alcohol bottles with snakes, scorpions etc. inside…
“You can try these alcohols and then decide which one you want to buy.”
People who are selling them, believe that this alcohols will improve your health or sex…
I was taking this photos not to show on my blog;
I didn’t have a travel blog that time;
but I was thinking to send them to e.g., WWF or Greenpeace;
making and selling alcohols with/from these animals should be forbidden.
I know that some people are excited about thinking it,
others are really against it;
you can decide on your own is it correct, ethical etc…
Laos – Not Only Drugs in Golden Triangle
The Asian Golden Triangle, i.e., area in Laos, Myanmar and Thailand is mostly known from drugs.
But there is rather a different reason why I don’t recommend people to visit it.
Look at this sad picture; in Laos Golden Triangle you can easily buy alcohol bottles with animals inside! There are e.g., snakes, scorpions or other also protected animals!
I’m showing you this picture to be aware of this;
because it’s a very negative thing!
I’ll continue the topic tomorrow.
Laos – Golden Triangle
Golden Triangle is an area on borders between Laos, Myanmar and Thailand,mostly famous from opium production.
I already mentioned it on my blog while writing about Thailand
It’s a bit controversial place, and I’m still not sure is it a good idea to visit it.
Laos – Buddha Park
Buddha Park is located nearby Vientiane and can be easily visited as a 1 day trip from the capital.
You will find there different sculptures.
It’s not an old tourist attraction, but definitely an interesting place.
Laos – Nearby Vientiane
When you are in Vientiane, try to explore also some nearby attractions, e.g., a Buddha Park.
Laos – Smoke-free
“Smoke-free Ministry of Health” or “Smoke-free Temple” are some of unique signs I’ve seen in Vientiane. 🙂
Laos – Vientiane
Vientiane is a capital of Laso since 1563, but it may not really feel like a capital city.
Of course, you’ll find there tourist attractions, temples or the Patuxai Victory Gate from today’s picture.
Laos – Capital
Vientiane is the capital and largest city of Laos.
Laos – Next Thailand?
While visiting Laos, I somehow got an impression that in a few years, Laos will be like Thailand,
or even they want to be like Thailand, i.e., a very popular tourist destination.
