Autumn – here warm and sunny;
rainy, cold and “better stay home” is also possible. 😉

France – Summer
Summer and a romantic sunset by the ocean. 🙂
I rather avoid, if possible, traveling to France in summer;
it may be charming,
it may be crowded…
France – Spring
I’ll show you in the following days, pictures from different places in France, representing different seasons. Of course, they are just examples; one day may be sunny, the next day may be dark and rainy; I’ll try to show you this better side. 😉
Today – spring – sunny with lots of flowers. 🙂
France – The best time to go
What’s the best time to visit France?
-Well, I think each season can be nice, depending which area you want to visit and what’s the goal of your trip.
-My favorite is spring and autumn.
France – Little Prince
The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince) is probably the best known Frech book.
Is there anyone who didn’t read this book of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry?
France – Statue of Liberty
The famous Statue of Liberty can be found not only in New York; actually you can find its replica in many places around the world, but France is the one where you should really search for it.
Why?
-Well, France gave the Statue of Liberty to the USA. So in Paris, you can find a few smaller versions of this “French statue”. 🙂
France – 1st of May and Lily of the Valley
A long time ago, I was reading that on the 1st of May people in France give to each others lily of the valley as a symbol of good luck (apparently in Belgium they have a similar tradition).
The white lily of the valley of a lovely scent is my favorite flower and since I was a little girl, I was dreaming to hold a bouquet of these flowers for my wedding (the dream came true 😉 ).
Anyway, when I heard about this tradition, I really wanted to spend 1st on May in France. Fortunately, I had a chance. 🙂 And it was a lovely day! 🙂 I was in Paris, and the lilies were sold in many places in the city what looked very beautiful. And almost everyone who was walking from the bakery with a bagette was holding also a small bouquet of lilies of the valley.
France – Paris
Does everyone want to visit Paris?
-maybe…
I wanted to go to Paris when I was a child. Later, when I had to travel many times to Paris, I wasn’t so excited any more. But, I found its charm and now I have my favorite places in Paris, and like to visit the city a lot.
So take a good pair of shoes and walk a lot, behave more like a local not like a tourist, eat some delicious foods and visit the Towers of Notre Dame.
And simply enjoy Paris! Don’t follow the crowds. 😉
Take it easy, it’s a nice city. 🙂
France – Capital
Paris is the capital and the biggest and best known city of France.
Maybe it’s even the most famous city in Europe; I guess it is London or Paris, what do you think?
France – Introduction
Welcome in 2019!
I’ll start this year with a trip to France.
I hope you’ll enjoy it! 🙂
Thailand – Final impression
Today, I’m showing you the last picture on the blog, this year.
How did you like my travel impressions from Thailand?
I wish you a Very Happy New Year!
And see you soon, in 2019! 🙂
Thailand – Buddhism
Thailand is a Buddhist country.
In Thailand, it is a Theravada Buddhism, practiced by the majority of people.
Thailand – Lucky Lizard
It today’s picture you see a small lizard walking on the lamp.
Have you ever heard that it’s good (or lucky) to have small lizards in your room, because they eat some insects, so the room is clean? 😉
Thailand – almost-Komodo on the Beach
I remember sitting on the beach while this big lizard came from the stones.
Not the best experience…
As fast as I could, but slowly, I moved to the safer arrea. 😉
I thought, it was a Komodo dragon, but they don’t live in Thailand; it’s a close cousin of komodo, called Asian water monitor lizard.
Thailand – James Bond
When you’re in Phuket, you can check the James Bond Island – a place that was shown in the James Bond movie ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’ (Roger Moore, 1974).
Thailand – Phuket
Phuket is the largest island in Thailand and a very popular “beach destination”.
I’m not a fan of this kind of places; well, some people love it, others hate it…
Thailand – Long Neck
Karen or simply Long Neck is a name of a tribe from Myanmar (Burma), but also living in Thailand these days.
Karen women are very characteristic, because they wear several metal rings around their necks, wrists and ankles.
Thailand – Tribes
You can visit in Thailand villages where minorities live; however usually it’s not so authentic experience and it’s mostly about buying their hand made products (it also can be interesting at some level…).
Thailand – Ethnic Groups
There are many ethnic groups in Thailand; some of them originate from Thailand, but many groups are from neighbour countries, where they couldn’t stay because of different reasons.
Thailand – Golden Triangle
Golden Triangle is an area where people used to grow opium, at the boarder or Laos, Myanmar and Thailand.
You can visit the place e.g., while being in Thailand, but I don’t really think it’s worth visiting…
