I have to say, Thailand is far from being my favorite country; I think it’s overrated from many reasons. However, there are still nice, interesting and worth visiting places. And that’s what I’ll try to show you this month on my blog. Hopefully, you’ll like it. 🙂
Today, the last post about Sardinia on my blog.
How did you like my travel impressions about this big Italian island?
I have nice memories from Sardinia; it was interesting and relatively easy to travel through the island. Definitely, I enjoyed my holidays in Sardinia. 🙂

Sassari is one of the biggest and oldest cities of Sardinia.
Maybe, I didn’t spend there enough time, but I wasn’t impressed by Sassari.
Castelsardo is a must-see town in Sardinia.
It’s lovely located on the hill by the sea.
You’ll find there castle and fortifications from the 12th century and many colorful houses.
I’m sure you’ll enjoy your time in Castelsardo and it’s very likely your camera will stay quite busy there. 🙂
Olbia is another coastal town in Sardinia; it’s easily accessible for tourists because of nearby international airport.
Sardinia is very close to Corsica, so if you want to visit this French island, you can a ferry from Santa Teresa (Sardinia) to Bonifacio (Corsica); the trip takes less than an hour.
Santa Teresa Gallura (Santa Teresa di Gallura or Santa Teresa) is a seaside resort on the northern coast of Sardinia. Nice colorful town, a harbor, a 11 m high 16th century watchtower (La Torre di Longonsardo) and sandy beaches, just relax here. 🙂
Capo Caccia peninsula is located just outside Alghero.
From there, you can take over 600 scenic stairs and go to beautiful Neptune Caves – that was my favorite part fo visiting Alghero. 🙂
Alghero is a harbor town with nice beaches.
Great place to relax and enjoy water.
Alghero is a nice medieval town with beautiful historical center.
Just outside Alghero you’ll find more natural attractions and interesting archaeological sites.
Arbatax is a small harbor town in Sardinia; it’s a nice and friendly place for a walk.
And, it’s my absolutely must-see in Sardinia, because of amazing Red Rocks (Rocce Rosse).
I was absolutely fascinated by the rock formations Rocce Rosse (the Red Rocks) in the center of Arbatax.
That’s my no. 1 in Sardinia. 🙂
There are several vineyards in Sardinia, so you can try many different wines in Sardinia.
You can choose between red and white wine; just try and find your favorite one.
Italian cuisine is always delicious, isn’t it? 🙂
So should be Sardinian food.
What to choose depends on your own preferences, I’d say – try variety of seafood and enjoy it. 🙂
Summer lasts 6 months in Sardinia, from May until October.
I visited Sardinia at the beginning of June, and whether was very pleasant.
Sardinia is located in the Mediterranean Sea and has warm Mediterranean climate, with hot, sunny summer and mild winter.
But in the Sardinian mountains, it can even snow in winter.
You will find many colorful flowers in Sardinia. 🙂
Sardinia is the second-largest island located in the Mediterranean Sea; it is slightly smaller than Sicily. And there are actually many many islands in the Mediterranean Sea.
In today’s picture you can see a beautiful waterfall “Cascata di San Valentino”, located in Sadali.
If you’re planning to visit Sardinia, put Sadali on your must-see list. 🙂
Sadali is a nice village/town located in the central part of Sardinia.
Sadali is worth visiting from a few reasons; the place is very special, located in a lovely area, with nearby cave and waterfalls.
