I remember from Egypt its crazy traffic. Then, I thought, maybe I shouldn’t mention it, because it’s nothing unusual in Africa or Asia. On the other hand, it’s also something characteristic for these places and doesn’t really happen in Europe; at least not in this scale. 😉

Egypt – Sinai Peninsula
I’ve already mentioned before, but didn’t really write anything about Sinai or Sinai Peninsula.
Sinai Peninsula is actually a very tourist part of Egypt with well known resort towns, coast, coral reef and biblical Mount Sinai.
Egypt – Desert & Safari
The Sahara desert takes a large part of the Egyptian territory.
It doesn’t make the life of Egyptians easier, but for tourists it’s a great chance to see the desert.
Egypt – Where It All Begins
I like to read about tourism slogans of different countries.
For Egypt it’s: “Where It All Begins”.
I think it’s a nice one.
Egypt – Resorts
Along the Red Sea coast, there are many Egyptian resorts, two very well known towns are called: Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada.
Not a bed option for a few days.
Egypt – Gulf of Suez
The Gulf of Suez is situated in Egypt, at the end of Sinai Peninsula.
There is a boundary between Africa and Asia.
Egypt – Suez Canal
Suez Canal was built in Egypt to connect the Mediterranean Sea (Port Said) with the Red Sea (Port Tewfik, Suez).

It’s also one of the reasons why people like to visit Egypt.

Egypt has a hot, dry climate; so no wonder it’s a very popular destination during winter, i.e., from about October to March, and especially in December.
Egypt – Camel Riding
Camels are often a tourist attraction, and it’s possible to have a camel ride. Definitely, not my favorite way of transportation…
What do you think about camel riding?
Egypt – Camel Rock
Do you see a camel’s head?
🙂
Egypt – Camels
Camels and members of the Camelidae family can be found in many places in the world.
As I learnt at school and it sticked to my head, if there is a desert there are also camels, so camels are in Egypt. 😉
Egypt – Great Sphinx of Giza
The mysterious Sphinx is a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human, was carved out of limestone.
Egypt – Pyramids
I’m aware someone may say “pyramids are nothing special”, “it’s just a few stones” etc.
I think they are very impressive, their history, how they were built and even the location – you are just outside the big city, but at the same time your’e on the desert.
Egypt – Giza Pyramids
The Giza pyramid complex is located on the Giza Plateau.
You’ll find there amazing pyramids and famous Sphinx.
That’s the place to feel “like in Egypt”, or in ancient Egypt. 😉
Egypt – Giza
Giza is a big city located a few km from Cairo.
Once you’re in Cairo, going to Giza is a must to see the Giza Pyramids.
Egypt – Mosques in Cairo
In Cairo, you can find hundreds of mosques, some of them you can easily visit.
Egypt – Islamic Cairo
Islamic Cairo is the historic part of the city. This name may be a bit confusing, because it doesn’t mean that’s the only Islamin area in Cairo; it’s just the one with many historical sites.
