USA – Final impression

Chipmunk in Yellowstone
Chipmunk in Yellowstone

Today, cute chipmunk says “Goodbye USA”. This year, it’s the last picture from North America. Obviously, I wasn’t able to cover all beautiful places we saw during our trip, but I’ll be back to USA on my blog, one day.

So, how do you like US landscapes?

Oczywi艣cie, w ci膮gu jednego miesi膮ca nie by艂am w stanie pokaza膰 wszystkich pi臋knych czy charakterystycznych miejsc, kt贸re zwiedzili艣my w USA. Kiedy艣, na moim blogu przyjdzie czas na kolejny miesi膮c o USA!

Mam nadziej臋, 偶e podoba艂o Wam si臋 moje “wprowadzenie” do Ameryki P贸艂nocnej.

USA – White Yellowstone

Yellowstone
Yellowstone

Maybe it doesn’t really look like, but it’s still Yellowstone! There are terraces of Mammoth Hot Springs. I hadn’t expected to see something like that in Yellowstone.

It reminds me Turkish Pamukkale.

Dzisiaj mamy zdj臋cie “bia艂ego Yellowstone”. 馃檪 Musz臋 przyzna膰, 偶e takich formacji nie spodziewa艂am si臋 tam zobaczy膰. To gor膮ce 藕r贸d艂a “Mammoth Hot Springs”, kt贸re kojarz膮 mi si臋 z tureckim Pamukkale.

USA – Yellowstone

Yellowstone
Yellowstone

This picture I wanted to title “Colorful Yellowstone”, but at the end I left a simple name. You can see a few intensive colors: blue, white, orange-brown and green. It’s not seen in this photo, but white parts are often marked with black spots. There are many huge ravens.

Dwa dni temu, by艂o pomara艅czowo-rdzawe Yellowstone, wczoraj niebieskie, a dzi艣 jest kolorowe. 馃槈 I mimo, 偶e nie jest to wielkie gor膮ce 藕r贸d艂o “Grand Prismatic Spring” cz臋sto pokazywane jako charakterystyczne zdj臋cie z Yellowstone, to mamy tu troch臋 zielonego, pomara艅czowego, niebieskiego i bia艂ego. 馃檪 A te bia艂e obszary cz臋sto s膮 pokryte czarnymi plamkami, w艂a艣ciwie sporymi plamami, w postaci wielkich kruk贸w, kt贸rych sporo tam lata.

USA – Blue Yellowstone

Yellowstone
Yellowstone

As you see, I titled my pictures from Yellowstone National Park by the different colors I encountered to show how diverse this park is. Yellowstone it’s much more than Old Faithful Geyser (honestly, it’s a bit disappointing) or Grand Prismatic Spring (unfortunately overcrowded).

I have to add here, that I was a bit disappointed by Yellowstone in general. But it’s only because I visited before a few superb geothermal places e.g., Iceland or White Island in New Zealand. It doesn’t mean that I didn’t like Yellowstone, I liked it a lot! But when you travel a lot it’s easier to say that “in my opinion, this place is better than this one”, but separately both places are great! And, I still think Yellowstone is a must-see!

p.s. I love these deep, dark, blue holes, as the one shown in the picture.

Poka偶臋 Wam jeszcze w tym miesi膮cu, kilka zdj臋膰 z parku Yellowstone. Poszczeg贸lne posty z Yellowstone postanowi艂am nazwa膰 kolorami, poniewa偶 ten park zaskoczy艂 mnie swoj膮 r贸偶norodno艣ci膮 i zdecydowanie jest bardzo kolorowy. Z drugiej strony, musz臋 przyzna膰, 偶e spodziewa艂am si臋 czego艣 “lepszego” po Yellowstone. Nie oznacza to, 偶e nie podoba艂o mi si臋 w Yellowstone.

USA – Orange Yellowstone

I think everyone heard about Yellowstone, even children know (or maybe used to know…?) Yogi bear. Yellowstone is a huge, and actually quite diverse national park.

My艣l臋, 偶e ka偶dy s艂ysza艂 o parku Yellowstone, nawet dzieci znaj膮 (albo zna艂y?) misia Yogi.
Park Narodowy Yellowstone to ogromny kompleks, sk艂adaj膮cy si臋 z gor膮cych 藕r贸de艂, gejzer贸w, wulkan贸w b艂otnych, wodospad贸w itp.

USA – Grand Teton

Grand Teton National Park
Grand Teton National Park

We’re heading to Yellowstone via Grand Teton National Park (today’s picture). I love landscapes like this one – green grass, rocky mountains covered by snow, and blue sky. OK, the last one is debatable.

Wybrali艣my drog臋 do Yellowstone prowadz膮c膮 przez Park Narodowy Grand Teton. Powiedzia艂abym, 偶e to park z alpejskimi widokami 鈥 pi臋kne g贸ry, 艣nieg, jeziora.

USA – Hummingbird

Hummingbird
Hummingbird

Distances that we had to drive in USA, were usually quite big, so we had to stop from time to time to relax a bit. It wasn’t difficult to find a nice place for a break, because there are many of them on the way. And often we’re positively surprised how beautiful this place was. A few times we met these cute, tiny hummingbirds. It’s very enjoyable to observe them!

Stany Zjednoczone to ogromny kraj i cz臋sto pokonywali艣my wiele, wiele mil. Z regu艂y nie mieli艣my 偶adnego problemu aby znale藕膰 pi臋kne miejsce na kr贸tki odpoczynek – by艂o ich mn贸stwo po drodze! Nasz pierwszy przystanek by艂 cudownie ulokowany, las, g贸rki i kolibry! Kolibry spotkali艣my kilka razy i wtedy nasze przerwy si臋 troch臋 wyd艂a偶y艂y obserwuj膮c i fotografuj膮c te prze艣liczne, male艅kie ptaszki.

USA – Wyoming

Wyoming
Wyoming

After Utah, we headed north to Wyoming. The landscape changed from desert-like sandstones to kind of alpine-like. Here, we stopped for a lunch. Not the worst place.

Ze stanu Utah, udali艣my si臋 na p贸艂noc do Wyoming. Krajobrazy szybko zmieni艂y si臋 z pustynno-piaskowych w g贸rskie. A tutaj zatrzymali艣my si臋 na piknik i spacer.

USA – Great Salt Lake

Great Salt Lake
Great Salt Lake

Have you ever seen any very salty lake? I saw a few in different countries, and I like them a lot. They have nice colors, or nice salt formations on the shore (today’s photo). And usually, it’s possible to spot birds and animals nearby.

The Great Salt Lake in Utah has a few islands. We visited the largest one, Antelope Island. And we saw some antelopes, and other animals e.g., bison.

Byli艣cie kiedy艣 nad bardzo zasolonym jeziorem? Mia艂am okazj臋 zobaczy膰 kilka takich jezior i to s膮 zawsze pi臋kne miejsca. Cz臋sto te jeziora maj膮 pi臋kny kolor, nad brzegiem mo偶na znale藕膰 wiele kryszta艂k贸w soli (dzisiejsze zdj臋cie), a w okolicach dostrzec np. flamingi.

Nad Wielkim Jeziorem S艂onym (ang. Great Salt Lake) w Utah uda艂o nam si臋 zobaczy膰 kilka zwierzak贸w np. bizony i antylopy.

USA – Dead Horse Point

Dead Horse Point State Park
Dead Horse Point State Park

There are different legends that explain the strange name of this state park. They have something to do with cowboys and… thirsty horses. You can find out more in the internet, but the best way is to go there.

Maybe it’s a bit provocative, but I don’t want to spoil everything, just inspire you to travel!

__________________________________________________________

Najlepszy spos贸b aby pozna膰 legend臋 towarzysz膮c膮 temu parkowi, to wybra膰 si臋 tam.
